My client is a retail organization; they are seeking a Accounting Specialist to join their team; this is a role that would be responsible for payables & receivables across North America. This is a hybrid opportunity, that will convert temp to hire.
Description
- Collaborate with teams to ensure prompt and precise invoicing, addressing any customer inquiries and coordinating with business partners.
- Manage receipt and banking of checks, as well as initiating credit card transactions for customer payments.
- Handle receipt, review, and processing of invoices from suppliers, verifying accuracy, coding, and authorization.
- Maintain supplier master data and resolve any discrepancies through communication.
- Prepare and execute electronic payments, aid in month-end closing activities including accounts payable reconciliations and accruals.
- Provide support for cash allocation and assist in the audit process.
Profile
- Completed Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related
- Experience handling payable and receivables at a global organization
- Proficiency in ERP software; netsuite a plus
- Strong MS Excel skill-set vlookup, pivot table, SUM-IF
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
