Monday-Friday 11am-7pm A family of five based in Irvington, NY, bidding farewell to their beloved nanny of six years as she embarks on the journey of motherhood herself.
With three energetic children and diverse after-school activities, they are in search of a collaborative and dedicated Family Assistant to join their household.
Their children attend school everyday, M-F.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with parents to coordinate and manage the schedules of three children, each engaged in various after-school activities.
Assist with picking up children from school and driving them to their respective activities.
Provide support with household tasks including grocery shopping, running errands, meal prep, children's laundry, tidying up, and preparing for the next day.
Stay flexible and available for late evenings when children's sports activities extend until 8pm.
Maintain a nurturing and supportive environment, particularly for our oldest child who has ADHD and a social communication disorder.
Skillfully navigate sibling arguments and provide assistance and guidance as needed.
Engage with the children in activities that foster their development and interests.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children, particularly those with ADHD or similar neurodevelopmental disorders.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
A car will be provided for you Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
Willingness to pitch in and collaborate with parents and other household staff.
Comfortable working in a home environment with a partially remote-working parent.
